IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus 7.3 User

The IBM Tivoli Netcool OMNIbus 7.3 release incorporates several advancements over previous versions of
this enterprise level operations management solution. This course will cover the aspects, utilization and
configuration setting of the User interfaces. Participants configure and utilize both the legacy and new Web
GUI interface including the Tivoli Integrated Portal. Participants will work with defined pages, maps filters and
views as well as how to specify multiple data source event lists. New functionality around creating maps,
filters and views will be examined. Participants will configure client Accelerated Event Notifications.

Audience

This intermediate-level course is for existing OMNIbus V7.2.1 and earlier advanced administrators and
users. This course is intended to update current skill sets of support personal and user communities to
version 7.3 functionality.

Pre-requisites

Students should have the following skills:
Linux/UNIX System administration experience
Understanding of basic networking protocols and addressing
Understanding of HTML / XML code construction
Ability to navigate an operational Netcool/OMNIbus with Web GUI environment
Intermediate Netcool/OMNIbus configuration skills
